Abstract:
In the present paper, the influence of different parameters on the thermal response of concrete box girder bridges is analyzed. The application of a general methodology in order to determine the thermal actions to be considered in design of concrete bridges allows to know the effectuve temperature range of the deck, thermal gradients and thermal transverse loads in concrete box girder bridges located on the Ierian Peninsula. The resluts derived from this study are compared with those obtained by means of several expressions existing in national codes. Likewise, the influence of vairable deck superstrucutre depthon the thermal response of concrete box girder bridges is analyzed.
