Abstract:
An anchorage for cable stays made of parallel strands is introduced. It combines mechanical and bondig restrain of the cable. The anchorage, designated type ""BK"", belogs to the so called range ""B"" of stay anchorages developed by the Stronghold Prestressing System. The basis of the design for such type of anchorage is briefly reminded. This is followed by a description of the anchorage in comparison to its precursor. A list of jobs using this anchorage is reported. A brief description of three of the jobs is included. In the conclusion, versatility of the anchorage is emphasized, explaining the ability to hold different types of strand available.
