Abstract:
The paper presents the compositions and properties of sulfated clinkers; and, the cements based upon them. The conditions of formation of sulfated minerals such as calcium sulfoaluminate, sulfoferrite and sulfoalumio-ferrite are considered. The main physical and chemical characteristics of sulfated minerals are presented. Tech-nological peculiarities of production of clinkers, which have sulfated minerals, are studied. The properties of cements that are based on various sulfated clinkers are shown. Consideration is given to the possibilities of us-ing these clinkers for production of expanding, self-stressing, rapid-setting, fast hardening, corrosion-resistant, and oil-well cements. Examples of their usage both in construction and in other industries is discussed.
