Abstract:
The Museum of Tomorrow is a science museum where you are invited to examine the past, get to know the present transformations and imagine possible scenarios for the next 50 years, by means of immersive audiovisual environments, interactive works and games available to the public in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The expectation is to be a space for acceleration of ideas, that invites you to dive in to experiences where science and art, reason and emotion, language and technology, culture and society meet. The Museum also counts with a series of educational activities, a laboratory of experiences in innovation, an observatory that maps the vital signals of the planet, and services for the public: cafe shop, restaurant and store. The construction of Museum of Tomorrow is included in the set of Works by the City of Rio de Janeiro, supported by State and Federal Governments, through the largest urban consortium in the country – Porto Maravilha. The project features the requalification and reurbanization of an area of 5 millions square meters, besides bringing a new pattern of quality to urban services such as the implementation of the selective garbage collect, efficient public lighting and creation of cycle paths.
