Abstract:
Form and reshore loads were measured over a complete construction cycle for two high-rise slab buildings to verify the predicted loads using theoretical approaches developed by others. Formwork schedules involving reshoring are recom-mended as being beneficial in reducing the maximum con-struction loads on the slabs. Tables are presented giving formwork requirements for portland cement concretes using both Type I and Type I II cements at various placing temperatures and for various rates of construction.
