Abstract:
Recommendations are made for the design, manufacture, and erection of precast reinforced concrete floor and roof units having spans of 35 ft (1 1 m) or less. Unit stress, ultimate strength, and a test method of strength design are recommended. Recommendations are made regarding bearing lengths, bar spacings, minimum reinforcement, and holes. Quality requirements and acceptance procedures are discussed. Prestressed concrete members are not covered in the report.
