Abstract:
Construction loads in a concrete structure where upper floors are shored from lower floors may exceed design service loads by an appreciable amount. A method for determining these erection loads is presented for Rat slab or flat plate construction. The effect of shoring different numbers of floors and the effect of construction loads on design are also discussed.
