Abstract:
Carrier fluidifying agent (CFA) is a type of chemical admixture that is able to retain the workability of high-strength concrete. It was found that apart from being able to retain the workability of high-strength concrete for up to 2 h, CFA marginally improved the mechanical properties of high-strength concrete. In this study, the mechanical properties of high-strength concrete with and without CFA are investigated and compared in terms of the mechanical strength, such as compressive, splitting tensile, flexural, shear property, bond to reinforcement, and the deformation characteristics, such as static modulus of elasticity, Poisson's ratio, and creep of concrete.
