Abstract:
A descri tion of the Lenora Street Viaduct in Seattle Some of t e distinguishing features in reinforced com- h crete design were the use of concrete at a working stress of I200 psi; continuous girder spans u t o 64 ft long freely supported on hinged joints; anc orage to h take care of the grade and the tractive effort. the carrying of flexib of wind stresses to the end bents: and the use le columns to relieve the bending’ stresses due to temperature movement.
