Abstract:
Results of tests of ten different aggre ates, six natural sand and gravels, three types of crushed limestone and one crushed iron ore and steel launchings were between ( I) a fair agreement was found the results of the sodium sulfate tests and the freezing and thawing tests of the fine gate; (2) the relation between durability merit-water ratio was similar to the relation between strength and cement-water ratio; (3) a fair correlation was found between the durability tests of the aggregates and of the concrete; and (4) the natural sand and gravel aggregates l produced more durable concrete than did the imestone aggregates included in this investigation.
