Abstract:
Tests to determine the effect on durability of the reduced cement content when using high-early-strength cement are reported. The tests on freezing and thawing show that the reduced cement content does not reduce the resistance to freezing and thawing; the investigation of volume changes indi-cate that there is practically no difference between the shrinkage of high-early-strength cement concretes and normal cement concretes. The aggregate, however, had a marked effect.
