Abstract:
A statement of factors affecting the durability of concrete; the fatigue action of volume changes pro duced by changes in temperature and moisture; the freezing of water in the pores of concrete; the phenomenon of bleeding; the thermai, elastic, and hygral properties of the constituents of concrete. Emphasis is placed on the need for test methods. which will permit more accurate prediction of durbiity.
