Abstract:
The comparative merits of various methods for lining tunnels with concrete are frequently in question. The question includes consideration of equipment as well as methods. The purpose of this paper is to answer these questions in the light of current experience. The subjects of leakage, shrinkage, cracking, and contraction joints are treated because they are inseparably involved in the results of placing methods.
