Abstract:
A limestone sand which had been used with indifferent success in pavements and other structures, prompted a series of tests by National Crushed. Stone Association, to improve workability and durablllty of concrete in which this aggregate was used. Results with and without Vinsol resin as an air-entraining agent were favorable to the use of the admixture. Data reported include materials, mix-proportioning, freezing and thawing tests.
