Abstract:
Proposes standard methods of cold-weather con- creting for thin sections and mass concrete. of materials, accelerators and anti-freezes, Heating and temperature records during curing curing (or base) preparation, su bgrade curing, protective coverings during types and form removal are discussed for both of job, and preferred methods are indicated. An appendix entry outlines objectives of the special winter methods with background material which in- dicates the why practices. of some of the recommended Charts in the appendix indicate effect ot curing temperature on concrete strength, and a list of 135 selected references to periodical litera- ture on winter concreting methods’ is included.
