Abstract:
High-performance concrete (HPC) is the material of which the product quality meets the specification of the original design. The research of HPC is a kind of study that links practical work with academic theory and meets the construction need. Many countries have established research centers for the characteristic study of HPC and in developing new products. Taiwan has also participated in HPC research activity. The HPC research and development in Taiwan, at present, follows the past experience of the concrete science and concrete practice of flowing concrete and high-strength concrete. The High- Performance Concrete Committee (HPCC), founded by the Chinese Society of Structural Engineering (CSSE) was established by a group of experts and scholars from industry, government, and academia to take part in the great effort to develop high-performance concrete.
