Abstract:
A systems-building approach was used to construct the new Nassau Community College in Garden City, N.Y. The entire structure was composed of modular subsystems, made up of structural, mechanical/electrical. exterior, and interior subsystems. By using basic precast concrete components, these modules were capable of easy assembly or disassembly in the case of future changes or growth.
