Abstract:
One of the most troublesome details of design is that of concrete joints. Joints or the lack thereof have caused more problems than any other single item in concrete design. While there is more than one way to provide adequate joint details, the joint system to be used should be selected early in the design stage and special attention should be given to all parts of this system.
