Abstract:
Presents a method of calculating the bearing capacity of cracked arbitrary concrete sections under biaxial pure or compound bending. The method is suit-able for programmable hand-held calculators. In addition to the arbitrary case, ready formulas are presented covering a large percentage of cases encountered in practice. The program shiftcally between triangular, trapezoidal, and compression zones as the iterations estimated location of the neutral axis.
