Abstract:
Flatness tolerance specifications commonly applied to concrete floors are often unrealistic. As a result, both the owners and contractors continue to bear appreciable risks regarding the acceptability of newly installed floor slabs. With a growing demand for flatter floors in building construction, the industry must ad-dress the shortcomings of current requirements and provide meaningful and enforceable standards.
