Abstract:
What does quality mean to you? In one sense, quality has no connotation of good or bad, but simply is "the essential character of something." For a product manufacturer in general, the customer defines the acceptable level of quality. As precast/prestressed concrete producers, we musttake to heart the definition that quality is "superiority of kind" and has a "degree of excellence." To give in to the mentality that the quality we achieved today will suffice for tomorrow, then we become complacent. This type of satisfaction is a subconscious enemy: it lulls us to sleep, making us think that everything is okay, when in reality the quality of our products is slowly going down, the most important principle of quality control is te recognition and acceptance of the fact that the prestress industry must deliver a product of consistently good quality.
