Abstract:
Full-depth repairs were made on a bridge pier for a highway linking Wisconsin and Minnesota. Fine cracks in the pier were injected with a low-viscosity epoxy using socket mounting for the nylon injection nozzles. Injection began at the widest rather than the lowest crack. Careful materials handling and equipment maintenance were shown to be keys to success.
