Abstract:
Considerations pertinent to the design of distributed reinforcement for crack control have been suggested. Attention has been devoted to characteristics of subgrade frictional resistance, and to the relation between steel stress and crack width. A rational method for determining coefficient of subgrade friction is advanced which follows conventional lines.
