Abstract:
Concrete can be visually unexciting. By adding integrally colored concrete, once considered utilitarian, concrete is being cost-effectively changed to create unique hardscapes and striking buildings. Article gives some guidelines as to how integrally colored concrete can be more successfully achieved by combining the use of admixtures that color and change the properties of concrete with good concreting practices and a knowledge of how concrete ingredients and texturing techniques affect final concrete color.
