Abstract:
The maturity method has been widely applied to predict strength of cement-based materials as a function of temperature and time, assuming a particular availability of moisture. To evaluate influence of datum temperature (T0) and activation energy (Ea) on accuracy of strength predictions, the authors analyzed four concrete mixtures. Results demonstrate that the selection of values of T0 and Ea can have significant impact on the accuracy of the predictions.
