Abstract:
This paper analyzes the results of a poll carried out among different professionals and companies (designers, constructors, control institutes, etc.) with the aim of summarize their experiences taking them as a reference for a proposal of slenderness limits. The poll was referred only to building structures formed by reinforced concrete beams and ribbed floors with prestressed and reinforced concrete joists. It was also considered the type of partition (absent, stiff or flexible) and the nature of the element (fixed beams, internal or external in continuous beams and cantilever). Furthermore, these professionals provided relevant information on important aspects about deformation problems such as building process, partition arrangements and so on.
