Abstract:
In summary, these are pioneering works in the field of structural concrete. A brief history of the evolution of maritime concrete structures is given. A forecast is also made of possible future trends in port, urban and industrial developments. Another advantages are: building far from the final place of use is the environmental factor, as well as the revolutionary massive use of pre-stressing in this field. Finally, details are given of all the innovations involved in this project, from its original conception and design to the materials used and processes applied.
