Abstract:
International practice is moving to the creation of unified standards that incorporate provisions for both new design and existing structures. ACI should adopt a similar approach and create a unified ACI 880 code. The new code will provide equal importance to both new construction and existing structures and will keep ACI at the forefront of international practice.
