Abstract:
Important aspects of conceptual design of marine concrete structures in general, fixed, and floating. Detail design is briefly explained, as well as construction methods, towing and anchoring. Relevant experience from marine concrete structures will be mentioned, including performance of concrete oil & gas structures in the North Sea. Some elements of how to achieve a long life for the structures.
