Learning Objectives:
1. Analyze the impact of physical and chemical variations in PLC cement on concrete performance and recommend appropriate preconstruction steps for implementation.
2. Compare the production methods of OPC and PLC, identifying key factors contributing to carbon emission reductions.
3. Evaluate case studies to identify best practices in trial batching, testing, and mitigating variability in fresh and hardened concrete properties using PLC.
4. Assess the early-age properties of concrete made with PLC, including water distribution and shrinkage, to provide recommendations for curing and finishing techniques.
