Description
This is a recorded webinar from August 1, 2017.
Since the use of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) became widespread, two new admixture types have been developed and used extensively in SCC. These products, viscosity-modifying and rheology-modifying admixtures, are used extensively in SCC but have also been found useful in many other types of concrete and concrete applications. The use of these products, while not a substitute for bad concreting practices, can provide significant improvement in mixtures with gap-graded aggregates or in certain applications where the formed or machined finish needs improvement.
