Post-Extreme event, social media has become a powerful tool to inform those organizing the response. Social media also provides a means of rapid and reliable data collection key to documenting structural engineering effects. Panelists will share industry efforts to build capacity for reliable post-event reconnaissance. Additionally, panelists will demonstrate how collected data is leveraged utilizing new technologies to advance research and practice.
