Concrete construction today involves the use of concrete mixtures than can range from just a simple blend of cementitious materials, aggregates and water to complex blends that include the use of, at least one if not multiple, chemical admixtures and fibers. Coupled with other factors that may or may not be controllable, variability in expected performance and issues can arise.
