The ACI Student Forum has quickly become a highlight of The Concrete Convention and Exposition. Held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 following the Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Bowling Ball Competition, the forum featured presentations from nine universities, five of whom were attending the ACI Convention for the first time. The forum is an opportunity for students to exercise their presentation skills during a global conference and learn how concrete and concrete technology is being used around the world. At the beginning of the program, John Conn, Direct of Chapter Activities, presented banners to two recently approved ACI Student Chapters: Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, USA Sponsored by ACI Kansas Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, Culiacán, Mexico Sponsored by ACI Northwest Mexico The Student Forum was held in conjunction with ACI Committee S805, Collegiate Concrete Council Committee, a student-led committee that meets on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. during the ACI Conventions. The mission of S805 is to advise ACI on the needs of students worldwide with an interest in concrete and to engage students as professional members upon graduation.
