Nearly 100 students and teachers from around the Erbil-Kurdistan region of Iraq participated in an FRC Bowling Ball Competition on March 8, 2021, at Tishk International University. The competition was organized by the by the students chapters at Tishk International University and Salahaddin University Erbil. A total of four universities participated in the event including Raparin University and Erbil Polytechnic University. The teams consisted of 1-3 groups of four students. During the event, three tests were conducted including bowling ball, drop test, and compression test. Representatives from the local ACI Iraq Chapter were also in attendance. Two of the Salahaddin teams received 134, 140Mpa respectively in the compression test. Professor Dr. Dilshad Khidhr served as the team faculty advisor. The team from Salahhaddin University Erbil received first place certificates in the competition. Salahaddin University Erbil also received recognition as a 2020 Outstanding University in the ACI Award for University Student Activities Program. Learn More ACI Student Competitions.
