Ten graduate students will receive travel stipends of $1,000 USD to attend the ACI Concrete Convention, November 3-6, 2024 in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The purpose of the travel stipend program is to offset travel-related expenses such as hotel and airfare for students who are pursuing a full-time graduate or post-doctoral degree. The program is sponsored by the Student and Young Professional Activities Committee (SYPAC). Events and Sessions for Younger Members in Philadelphia include: Pervious Concrete Cylinder Competition ACI Student Forum Student and Young Professional Networking Event Professional Development Breakfast How Young Professionals Learn Constructability in the Real World ACI Student Awards Program Concrete Design 201: Designing Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Mixtures ACI 123 Concrete Poster Session, Open Topics, and Research in Progress S805 Student Leadership Council Meeting S806 Young Member Activities Committee Meeting The application period for Fall 2025 (Baltimore) or Spring 2026 (Rosemont/Chicago) will be from April 1 – June 15, 2025. A nomination letter from a faculty member, resume/curriculum vitae, and responses to essay questions are required. Students receive a discounted rate of $20 USD to attend convention.
