The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has presented its Distinguished Achievement Award toConcrete Promotional Group, Inc., a 28 year old trade association that supports the local construction community in the use of quality concrete construction means and methods. The award was presented at The Concrete Convention and Exposition in Kansas City, MO, April 12, 2015. The award is given to ACI nonmembers who have made notable contributions to the advancement of the concrete industry. Concrete Promotional Group, Inc., was awarded for supporting the local construction community in the use of quality concrete construction means and methods by providing education, reference material and sales/marketing support to the professional community. Concrete Promotional Group, Inc., provides education, reference material and sales/marketing support to the professional community. The CPG partners and co-promotes concrete with national and local concrete associations, including the Kansas ACI Chapter, Missouri ACI Chapter, and local student chapters, and intentionally seeks other construction related associations. CPG has a strong industry volunteer force to plan and execute seminars to educate best practices in concrete construction and has dedicated members who assist in promoting open houses, site tours, demonstrations, and promotional/education activities. They have been involved with projects that include site cast tilt-up, concrete parking lots, concrete streets, concrete overlays, concrete countertops, decorative concrete, concrete homes, pervious concrete, high rise concrete buildings, and concrete monuments.
