In early September, the American Concrete Institute attended the CONSTRUCT Show sponsored by Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) to promote the newly updated ACI 301-16 Specifications for Structural Concrete, and the ACI Field Reference Manual in Austin, Texas, USA. CONSTRUCT offered education programs, an exhibit hall, as well as networking opportunities. While at the show, ACI talked to architects and designers, specifiers, and contractors about how the new ACI 301-16 Specifications for Structural Concrete is a reference specification that can apply to any construction project involving structural concrete by citing it in the project specifications. ACI also showed attendees that the new Field Reference Manual is a compilation of documents including ACI 301-16 and additional ACI documents on measuring, mixing, transporting, and placing concrete; concrete pumping methods; hot-cold-weather concreting; consolidation; and concrete formwork. We're still at the @CONSTRUCTshow talking about the new ACI 301.
