The Women in ACI Committee has selected three young professionals to receive complimentary registration to the upcoming ACI Concrete Convention, October 29 – November 1, 2023, in Boston, MA, USA. The program is dedicated to sharing the experience of professional and technical collaboration with emerging faces in the concrete industry by offering free registration twice a year to men and women with less than eight years of industry experience. Marisol Tsui-Chang, a Project Manager with Bridge Diagnostics, Inc. in Fairfax, VA, USA is an active member of Committees 228 Nondestructive Testing of Concrete and 342 Bridge Evaluation. However, she is interested in learning more about the work involved in 444 Structural Health Monitoring and 365 Service Life which are relevant to her work in bridge engineering. Philip Pachade is a Technical Support Engineer for Hilti North America based in Plano, Texas, USA. As a recent graduate he is looking forward to attending the technical session on Anchorage of Flexural Externally Bonded FRP Strengthening Systems so he can learn more about better develop anchoring-concrete calculations for the Hilti anchoring product portfolio. Kellie Cockle is a Structural Engineer with Oak Forensic Engineering in Edmonton, AB, Canada. She hopes to expand her technical knowledge and connect with concrete professionals interested in collaboration on future projects while attending the convention.
