437 - Strength Evaluation of Existing Concrete Structures


Committee Mission: Develop and report information on evaluation of strength of existing concrete structures.

Goals: 1) Provide input to ACI Committee 562 on materials and strength evaluation for existing buildings; 2) Develop a task group to review and provide recommendations on revisions to the ACI 437-03R guideline on Strength Evaluation of Existing Structures; 3) Develop a task group to prepare a position paper or new document to evaluate reinforcement detailing and determine its influence on the strength evaluation of existing structures; 4) Finalize a load-testing specification to be referenced by Committee 562.
