Nearly 2,000 engineers, architects, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives from around the world will convene at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC this October to collaborate on concrete codes, specifications and standards. The Maryland, National Capital, and Virginia Chapters of ACI are proud to host the convention this fall, as an opportunity to showcase the companies, projects, current events, and landmarks that inspired the convention theme: Spanning the Globe. Some of the convention highlights that attendees have to look forward to include: International Lunch with with special guest Dr. Man-Chung Tang International Forum Student Egg Protection Device and Mortar Workability Competitions John J. Earley Symposium events including a two-part session, a walking tour and bus tour Contractors’ Day events Concrete Sustainability Forum, Lunch and Tour at the National Building Museum Guided tours of area attractions and landmarks Spanning the Globe Concrete Mixer Reception in Honor of ACI Past President James K. Wight, and A SOLD OUT industry exhibition! Throughout the convention, ACI will hold over 300 committee meetings, 50+ technical sessions, an industry trade exhibition, networking events, and more.
