Opening Ceremony for ACI AASTMT Egypt Student Chapter. From left: Ahmed Moustafa, Nabil El-Ashkar, Nasser Darwish, Mohamed Adel, Ahmed El-Sayed ACI Egypt is proud to announce the recent formation of the first student chapter based on the campus of Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime (AASTMT) located in the city of Alexandria. The purpose of ACI AASTMT is to further engineering and technical education, scientific investigation and research, and development of standards for design and construction incorporating concrete and related materials. ACI AASTMT addresses design, construction, manufacture, use, and maintenance and restoration of concrete and related materials. These efforts promote improved technology, technical competence, design and construction for the benefit of society. The AASTMT chapter currently has 25 members and is led by Mohamed Adel, the student president and Dr. Nabil El-Ashkar, faculty advisor.
