Tan Fu (2nd from left), Jia Shaoping (4th from left), Xu Yongmo (middle), Zeng Qingdong (2nd from right), and ACI staff Representatives from the China Concrete and Cement-Based Products Association and the Chinese Ceramic Society recently visited ACI Headquarters, and met with ACI staff to discuss international partnership with ACI, and plans for closer cooperation. China Concrete and Cement-Based Products Association is currently an ACI International Partner. China Concrete and Cement-Based Products Association is a national level not-for-profit organization that represents companies and organizations in concrete/cement products industries in China. The Chinese Ceramic Society is an academic, non-profit-making corporate and social organization for professionals engaged in the science and technology of inorganic nonmetallic materials. The following association representatives were in attendance: Xu Yongmo, President, China Concrete and Cement-Based Products Association Zeng Qingdong, Administrative Vice Secretary General, China Concrete and Cement-Based Products Association Tan Fu, Deputy Secretary General, Chinese Ceramic Society Jia Shaoping, Deputy Director of International Department, Chinese Ceramic Society The group discussed many opportunities including sharing of technical resources, joint events, and development of a globally recognized credential for concrete engineering, while also sharing insights on the remarkable innovation of several supertall buildings under construction in China. Also under discussion were ACI Certification, ACI University online education, and international conferences and seminars. An ACI International partner is a concrete-related association committed to cooperation, coordination, and collaboration with other concrete-related societies in an effort to develop a worldwide unified concrete community of equal partners. ACI is committed to pursuing international initiatives as part of its Strategic Plan to seek opportunities to advance national and global outreach, and positively impact the global community through mutually beneficial alliances.
