Dinner, Gala and Reception at the Concrete Convention & Exposition November 9, 2015 in Denver, CO, USA For the first time, ACI is bringing together winning projects from across the globe for an event unlike any we’ve hosted before – the Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala held Monday, November 9, 2015 during the Fall Concrete Convention & Exposition in Denver, CO, USA. George Seegebrecht, FACI, Concrete Consulting Engineers, LLC, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. The Awards were created to honor the visions of the most creative projects in the concrete industry, and recognize those at the forefront of innovation and technology on a global scale: Low-rise buildings; High-rise buildings; Flatwork; Infrastructure; Decorative concrete; and Repair/restoration The winners will be announced during the Awards Gala, culminating with the final announcement of the overall Excellence Award – one winner chosen as the best from among all the projects. In order to be eligible for participation in the Excellence Awards, projects needed to be winners at a local chapter level and submitted by that chapter, or chosen by one of ACI’s International Partners. Each chapter could sponsor up to two entries. If a chapter did not have a project awards program, they could still submit a project if the chapter plans to develop and launch an awards program within three years. The ACI Chapter Awards Guide has been created as a planning tool to help Chapters get started. Tickets are available to reserve your seat at this prestigious event. $75 will provide access to the Awards Gala, including dinner. The attire is business formal – cocktail dresses and suits will be appropriate. Tickets can be purchased online while registering for the Denver convention, or can be purchased separately in the ACI Store. Following the gala, ACI is hosting a Reception and Celebration that is free and open to all convention attendees from 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. Learn more at ACIExcellence.org and follow @ACIExcellence for updates, photos, and live tweeting during the event.
