The American Concrete Institute is excited to announce that its website (www.concrete.org) was recently recognized in the Top 20 Civil/Structural Engineering Websites of 2016, by The Global Grid, an architecture, engineering, urban planning, and related news organization. ACI’s website was highly-praised in particular for its member access to free and discounted rates on the institute publications, events, online courses and seminars at the ACI store. Member-centered pages including technical committees, education, certification, news and free videos were singled out as very helpful and informative. ACI’s website was most recently launched in late 2013, and has undergone additional enhancements since that time. The website design was based on feedback from members and customers and features more intuitive navigation, “Topics in Concrete” sections, and capability to translate the site through a built-in translator. The site maintains existing committee functionality with an easier-to use-interface, and automatically reformats to display on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. The website’s usability, site-wide navigation, and awareness of ACI programs and benefits helps concrete professionals around the world find the knowledge they need.
