The American Concrete Institute recently exhibited at the New York Build show in New York City. The show is a construction and design expo targeted towards projects from across New York and the surrounding areas. Approximately 8,000 people attended the two-day show. During the show, ACI advocated their certification programs. In New York, three ACI certification programs are mandatory in the New York City Building Code: Concrete Field Testing Technician, Concrete Construction Special Inspector, and the Adhesive Anchor Installer programs. At the booth, ACI representatives talked with attendees about the details of these programs and others, and provided information on local testing centers. Show attendees could see and look through the program materials and workbooks. The newest ACI certification program, Adhesive Anchor Installation Inspector, was also promoted. Many attendees who visited the ACI booth were familiar with ACI certification programs, and enjoyed talking about their certification experiences. Participating in New York Build helps ACI establish and expand strong and productive relationships with organizations and individuals.
