ACI recently exhibited at the 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers Structures Congress in Fort Worth, Texas, April 19-21, 2018. The event was a gathering of professional engineers coming together to discuss technical issues concerning modern civil engineering. ACI was one 55 exhibiting organizations at this year’s event. During the event, ACI talked with current and prospective members about the recent additions to ACI membership – including free digital access to ACI’s guides and reports, free shipping, and new substantial discounts – on top of the many benefits that members have enjoyed for decades. “Both ACI and ASCE share the common goal of promoting resilient communities,” stated ACI Fellow and ASCE member Larry Novak. “Having ACI here helps to display all the resources ACI has to offer to engineers looking to improve their communities.” ACI and ASCE have a strong working partnership including several joint committees such as 445: Shear and Torsion. Exhibiting at conferences such as the ASCE Structures Congress aligns with ACI’s goal of increasing opportunities for professional growth and impacting the global concrete community through alliances.
