The American Concrete Institute will begin offering all ACI inspector certification program exams at ACI Concrete Conventions & Expositions. The four ACI inspector certification programs are: Concrete Quality Technical Manager (CQTM) Concrete Construction Special Inspector (CCSI) Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector (CTCI) Adhesive Anchor Installation Inspector (AAII) The exams for these certifications will be held on the Wednesdays of each convention week. The fee for any of these exams will be $275, and participants must be registered for convention to take advantage of this special price. This price also includes a continental breakfast and lunch for those taking exams. “Offering these exams at ACI Conventions is part of an effort to increase convenience and availability for ACI’s inspector certification programs,” said Michael Morrison, Manager, Certification Program Development, American Concrete Institute. “We also see this as a great benefit to the individuals seeking the certifications who may already be traveling to ACI’s convention. We’re bringing it to you – it’s a great way to earn these certifications without scheduling extra travel time,” he said. The exam price does not include the cost of the reference materials, which are the responsibility of the individual taking the exam. “The exams are lengthy and extensive – ACI highly recommends properly preparing for the exam, and recommends purchasing the reference materials well in advance of the session,” continued Morrison. Each program requires passing a two-section exam: the CQTM exam is six hours in length, the CCSI and CTCI exams allow four hours for completion, and the AAII exam has a total of two hours allowed to complete the exam. All four of these programs have prerequisites; please refer to the links above for detailed program descriptions. ACI will offer these exams next at the Concrete Convention & Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Register for these exams through convention registration. The exam room will be available from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., allowing the attendee to pick the time most convenient with their schedule to begin their exam(s). Additional information will be shared with examinees upon receipt of their registration. More information on ACI’s certification programs can be found by visiting concrete.org/certification.
