The American Concrete Institute – a leading authority and resource worldwide for individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction, and materials – announces the recruitment of applicants for the new position of Middle East Regional Director. The position will be based out of the Institute’s regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, expected to open in late 2018. The ACI Middle East Regional Director will advance the development, dissemination, and adoption of ACI consensus-based knowledge on concrete and its uses in the Middle East region by establishing and nurturing a wide range of strategic relationships with members, chapters, companies, governmental bodies, educational institutions, partners, and other construction industry organizations. The new Regional Director will strengthen the global concrete community by building upon recent partnership agreements, increased ACI events in the region, and the recently-signed agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization to develop a Gulf Building Code based on ACI 318.
