ACI Chapters play an important role in the Institute – there are more than 260 chapters and student chapters located around the world, providing members with access to education, technical talks, events, and more. Chapter Leadership Training 2018 To facilitate greater chapter efficiency, ACI recently launched a partnership with StarChapter, for chapters in good standing. StarChapter's mission is to help local leaders grow their chapter's attendance, membership, and revenue. The partnership offers the StarChapter system to ACI chapters at no cost to the chapter. This AMS system offers member-friendly software that combines event registration, membership management, website design, email marketing, and eCommerce solutions. John Conn, ACI Director of Chapter Activities, urges chapters to use this all-in-one system. “In our personal and professional lives, we’re accustomed to having easy online experiences,” states Conn. “We want to provide that same convenience to our chapters’ members by allowing chapters to efficiently and professionally manage membership, events, and communications.” “The partnership between ACI and StarChapter allows for local ACI chapter leaders to manage their chapters more efficiently using the technology, specifically designed for the local chapter needs,” states Andra Huhulea, National Account Executive, StarChapter. “Utilizing the StarChapter software to manage membership, event registration, email marketing, and website content, ACI chapter leaders will improve overall membership value, revenue, and event attendance.” Currently, 30 ACI Chapters use the StarChapter system, and ACI plans for more chapters to utilize the system for more efficient and effective chapter membership. ACI Georgia has been using the system for years. Nadia Groome, ACI Georgia Chapter Secretary, stated that, “this software management system has saved our association tons of time. I like that members are responsible for updating and renewing their own membership, it makes contact management and dues renewal a much easier and more efficient process.” ACI actively works to strengthen relationships between ACI and its chapter members by offering educational resources and social events to support the growth of local chapters. In addition to chapter leadership training events, ACI provides chapter technical talks, presented by ACI’s engineering staff, and chapter roundtables, held in conjunction with the ACI Concrete Convention and Exposition. For more information on ACI Chapter Activities, and the StarChapter tool, contact John Conn, ACI Director of Chapter Activities.
